FULL DESCRIPTION (An amazing journey on the Acropolis and its museum (pre-visit experiential program) - combined with Acropolis and Acropolis Museum guided visits)





09:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.: Pre-visit interactive educational program



The statue of the beautiful ‘Peplos Kore’ of the Acropolis comes alive… Through a performance - dramatised narrative, which turns into an exploration game, enrichened with digital material, inspriring drama games, reenactments and other imaginative educational games and engaging activities led by experienced theatrical educators and professional pedagogues, the students will learn about the history of the Acropolis and its monuments and discover the secrets of ancient Athens’ civilization and history that led to the creation of these unique works.

Following this meaningful connection to the past, the students are better prepared to understand the origin of the items they will see in the Museum, and for their visit to the Acropolis.  

Place

‘Kinitiras Studio’, 22 Erectheiou St., a 5-minute walk from the entrance of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, or another suitable place for student groups in the neighbourhood of Acropolis according to availability on the day of the program.

11:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: Free time

At 11:00 a.m. the students will have a 30-minute break to get a snack or a drink at the Acropolis canteen before they start the Acropolis guided visit. Your program guide will provide you with further guidance.  

11:30 a.m. - 13:00 p.m.: Acropolis guided visit



Following the pre-visit program, our representative will walk with you to the Acropolis (a 5- minute walk) for a guided visit to all major sites on the Acropolis Rock led by highly qualified licensed guides-archeologists specialized in school groups.  

13:00 p.m.- 14:00 p.m.: Free time

Following the Acropolis guided visit, the students will have an 1-hour break to get a light lunch either at the Acropolis’ canteen or on the way to the Acropolis Museum. Your program guide will provide you with further guidance.  


14:00 p.m. - 15:00 p.m.: Acropolis Museum guided visit



Following the light lunch, our representative will walk with you (a 5-minute walk) for an exciting guided visit in the Acropolis Museum, led by licenced guides-archaelogists and always customized to the needs of the school group.  

The program ends at the Acropolis Museum at 15:00 p.m.

Total duration: Starts at 9:30 a.m. and lasts roughly 5 h and 30 min (including walking and breaks for snack and light lunch)

(If your group is over 55 students, you must register for a second program on another day)

MEETING POINT

On the day of the visit, at 09:15 a.m., our program representative will pick up your school group from the Acropolis Museum main entrance, located on 15 Dionysiou Areopagitou St., at the beginning of the pedestrian walkway that takes you from Hadrian’s Arch to the Acropolis.

Students: 38 euros each
Teachers/ Additional adults: 38 euros each
For every 15 paying students on your school group program, a supervisory teacher can accompany at no extra cost (Four free teacher places for 50-55 students)
(A group is considered a minimum of 25 students or more)

Please note
For Acropolis hill, comfortable walking shoes, sun glasses and hat are recommended. 
Water important: Each student should have 50 cents or 1 or 2 euros for the water vending machines at the entrance of the Acropolis.
